Doggie Mansions was founded in 2006 by “Top Dog” Donald Gorbach and “Chief ‘Barketing’ Officer” Stacy Small. Gorbach has sold luxury real estate for more than 25 years first in Westport, Connecticut and now as a broker with the Corcoran Group in Palm Beach. Small is the former editor of Elite Traveler Magazine who now runs a luxury boutique travel firm. Both Small and Gorbach cater to the affluent market in their respective real estate and travel careers, and truly understand the desire of this market to settle for nothing but the best—for themselves as well as their pets.

Dog-lovers themselves, Gorbach and Small reside in West Palm Beach, Florida with their rescued canine “kids” Madeline, Charly and Riley, the newest addition to our family (see photo). Madeline, an adorable Shih-Tzu/Bichon mix also known as Maddie, was rescued from a Los Angeles shelter five years ago and sweet Charly was found homeless on a rainy night several years ago in a Connecticut park. These formerly homeless dogs were the inspiration for Doggie Mansions, as every dog deserves a beautiful home!

Building & Design Team

Doggie Mansions are custom-built by a team led by “Master Builder” Alex Rossi, a talented artisan who has been building luxury homes in South Florida for more than 20 years. Rossi’s attention to detail is unmatched. He builds each and every Doggie Mansion as though it were a multi-million dollar mansion! He oversees a team of veteran builders, painters, and electricians, and works closely with our Doggie Designer to create the exact look—inside and out--desired by the owners and their dogs.

Doggie Mansions is thrilled to have Kari Roundy, owner of the Boca Raton-based interior design firm Atmospheres, on board as our “Chief Doggie Designer”. Best known for her whimsical design style and fun fresh take on décor, Roundy works closely with the owners to choose the paint colors, flooring, and furnishings for their doggie’s mansion. She spends hours devoted to shopping for the perfect doggie couches, area rugs, toy chests, artwork, plants, lamps and more. It is hard to believe the homes are for the dogs….with Kari at the helm, these doggie mansions are better decorated than many human’s homes!

Senior Sales & Barketing Managers

Doggie Mansions’ veteran sales managers work with individual dog owners/home buyers, as well as luxury pet-friendly resorts, pet stores, and developers interested in purchasing Doggie Mansions to offer as an option for their guests, clients and residents. Leading the sales/barketing team is Sheila Small, a veteran of the giftware sales industry and of course, the proud mom of an adorable pooch—a 13-year-old Shih Tzu named Mandy.
